This will make a new composition in After Effects of the size of the PSD file, retaining all the layers. Flatten the composition and save the file again as a JPEG, giving it a different name. STEP 8 Resize the file to something usefull, like by xxx where the xxx is automaticaly computer by Photoshop Here the file is bywhich is ok for MadMapper. These are in-picture guides that will make your life easier. On that layer, draw some white lines on the main features of the building. Make a new layer on the very top of the layer stack. First make a black layer and place it on top of the layer stack.

STEP 7 Mark the features of the building. Adjust the corners to match the straight lines of the building to the guides you just created. STEP 3 Create some guides on the straight parts of the building. Once adjusted, press return to apply the perspective cropping. Note the right part aligned with the middle of the center window and front door. So select the relevant part of the building we want to correct, align the gizmo on straight lines. This is nice because the right part of the photo is obstructed by the fountain on the foreground. Note that since the building is symetrical, we only need one half. For this task, we can use the Crop tool of Photoshop, with the Perspective option enabled. This is typically a ground-level photo one would take while on location. STEP 1: Select a building to map and make a few pictures of it. Sure enough, I was sending an appropriately formatted OSC message. The technique is rather simple, but it illustrates the process to achieve a photo-based architectural mapping. When I did not see any changes to the channel values within MM, I used the OSC Data Monitor to make sure that I was indeed sending out an OSC message with TD.

It’s a matter of matching network ports, setting up the correct network / local addresses, using the appropriate protocol, and making sure the OSC message that is being sent is in the correct format that the receiving software could recognize. When trying to establish the link between TouchDesigner and madMapper, I knew that OSC would be very straightforward. I assumed that this product on the GarageCube site is what I must have, and its description says "This "NO DRIVER!" DMX controller is plug & play and ready to work with madMapper and Modul8 (only)" For this reason, I decided to use TouchDesigner simply to send out OSC data to madMapper for channel value changes.

When CHiKA gifted me the ShowJockey, we were using it only with madMapper, so I knew that the device was functional in that environment.
